Author supervision is carried out for the purpose of controlling the development of the construction project.
Author supervision is carried out by the developers of the design (design and estimate) documentation for all construction sites, except for those specified in paragraph 6 of Article 33 and paragraph 1 of Article 74 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The important and responsible task of engineers accompanying the creation of designed systems is to perform all installation work in strict accordance with the working documentation, regulatory documents, and approved technological solutions. Knowledge of the technological process and the intricacies of work organization reduces the likelihood of errors. Problems arising during the installation work usually require the engineer to be ready to solve non-standard tasks in the shortest possible time. This helps to prevent forced downtime, improve quality, and reduce the time required for commissioning work.
The procedure for providing such services includes:
1. Provision of design and estimate documentation for the site.
2. Drafting a contract for the provision of author and/or technical supervision services.
3. Issuing an order to assign responsible engineer-experts.
4. Conducting author and/or technical supervision at the site at the start of construction.
