«Bastion-3»
"Bastion-3" is a PSIM-level software platform for integrating security equipment into a single system and embedding this system into the enterprise information environment.
"Bastion-3" is an open platform for creating integrated security systems that provides unified monitoring, control, event logging and automatic interaction of subsystems:
- video surveillance and/or video recording,
- security, alarm, fire and security, perimeter alarm,
- access control and management,
- security lighting,
- UAV counteraction,
- security personnel actions control.
"Bastion-3" has a large set of open interfaces for organizing information interaction with related automation systems of objects, production processes, activity management, economic, accounting, personnel records, etc.
"Bastion-3" can be deployed on the Russian-made operating system AstraLinux 1.7 SE, Red OS, as well as using domestic DBMS PostgresPro and Jatoba.
"Bastion-3" performs the functions of the upper level of the ISS, providing information interaction between servers, automated workstations (AWP) and security subsystems of geographically remote objects.
"Bastion-3" is distinguished by its software-based unlimited scalability and built-in tools for building multi-level systems, making its use especially effective in creating PSIM-class systems for medium and large geographically distributed objects, as well as vertically integrated structures. Bastion-3 further developed the advantages of its predecessor products – Bastion-2 and Bastion, integrating platforms installed on more than 20,000 automated workstations.
Bastion-3 Licensing System
The Bastion-3 software suite uses a functional licensing model that allows the product to be adapted to the specific needs of various users. The user acquires licenses for the mandatory module - "System Server" and a collection of licenses for functional modules in the quantity and range determined by the tasks solved by the system.
System Server
The basic functions of the software that form the integration platform - checking access rights, checking licenses, implementing business logic rules, ensuring the interaction of all components included in the system, etc. - are implemented in the central module of the system - "System Server".
The system must have one and only one "System Server".
The "System Server" license is offered in three specially developed editions that meet the needs of enterprises of various levels:
1. "Bastion 3 - System Server" (INITIAL);
2. "Bastion 3 - System Server" (STANDARD);
3. "Bastion 3 - Server systems" (CORPORATE).
These editions differ in the ability to use certain functional modules together with advanced editions of the "System Server" and the initial period of access to updates to the Bastion-3 software.
Users can upgrade their security system to a higher edition of the "System Server" at any time by paying the difference in price between them.
The "System Server" license is a perpetual (Lifetime) license, the current version of the program will be available to the user for an unlimited amount of time.
Functional modules
The Bastion-3 software package has three types of functional modules, which differ in the licensing method:
1. System server expansion modules
The system server expansion modules include an LDAP integration module, a replication module, a module for organizing the Central Monitoring Post, a module for integrating with the state information system SS TMK, and others. To gain access to the functionality of the software product, you must purchase the appropriate licenses.
There may be no more than one license copy of each type of server extension module in the system.
Licenses for the system server extension modules are perpetual (Lifetime) licenses.
2. Client applications
Client applications are software modules that allow you to organize functionally specialized automated workstations (AWP): "Security Post", "Pass Bureau", etc.
One copy of the client application license allows you to organize one specialized AWP. Client application licenses use a floating licensing model - the number of simultaneously running client applications is tracked. The total number of running instances of the licensed application at any given time is limited to the maximum number of sessions equal to the number of purchased license copies.
Client application licenses are perpetual (Lifetime) licenses.
3. Integration modules
Integration modules are "Bastion-3" modules that provide information interaction with security equipment, identification systems, information systems, etc.
Integration module licenses use a quota licensing model - the use of the product is permitted within the quota (limit), expressed as an integer. The quota value can represent any resource - the number of ACS controllers, the number of video cameras, the number of lamp line controllers, the number of parameters monitored via SNMP, etc. The system monitors compliance with the quota for each type of integration module. The quota is increased by purchasing additional copies of integration module licenses.
One copy of a specific integration module license provides interaction with a specific type of resource - equipment/system. The number of equipment/systems supported by one copy of the integration module depends on the module type and is provided in the description and documentation for the module.
Integration module licenses are perpetual (Lifetime) licenses.
Functional modules and editions of the "System Server"
Most of the functional modules of "Bastion-3" are available for use with all editions of the "System Server". However, there are modules that are available for use only with advanced editions of the "System Server". The selection of the required edition of the "System Server" is carried out using the Comparison of Editions of the "Security Server" table. To complete a working system, it is necessary to select the minimum edition of the "System Server" that supports all the necessary functional modules.
